Feed Pellet Machine – Automation and Electrical Rehabilitation

Home Feed Pellet Machine – Automation and Electrical Rehabilitation

The Suryon team modernized the PLC-based control system, HMI interface, and motor/temperature control infrastructure of a feed pelletizing machine used in livestock feed production. The project was executed with a focus on consistent pellet quality, energy efficiency, and operational safety.

Scope:

  • Electrical & Panel: Renewed PLC panel, VFD drive circuits, and power distribution; reorganized motor, sensor, and actuator cabling according to industrial standards.
  • Software: Updated PLC logic and HMI interface; added auto/manual modes, temperature and pressure monitoring, alarm and maintenance menus, and production counters.
  • Process Control: Implemented synchronized speed control between feeding, mixing, compression, and cutting stages.
  • Safety: Reconfigured safety system with safety relay, E-Stop, door interlocks, and overheat sensors.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Completed functional testing, temperature calibration, and performance verification.
  • Data & Integration: Prepared production output, energy consumption, temperature/pressure trends, and fault logs for SCADA integration.

Project Summary:

  • Machine Type: Feed pellet machine
  • Our Role: Electrical redesign, PLC/HMI software upgrade, VFD control, safety systems, testing and commissioning
  • Outputs: Standards-compliant control infrastructure, stable production process, traceable data structure

Key Outcomes:

  • Efficiency: Increased throughput via synchronized control and automated cycles
  • Quality: Stable pellet structure through optimized heat and pressure balance
  • Safety: Enhanced operator protection with safety relay and sensor-based monitoring
  • Traceability: Full visibility with SCADA-ready process and production data
