The Suryon team carried out the modernization of the PLC-based control system, safety circuits, and motor drive (VFD) infrastructure of an industrial meat cutting machine. The project was executed with a focus on operator safety, hygiene, and process continuity in food production environments.
Scope:
Electrical & Panel: PLC panel and power circuits renewed; I/O, cabling, and field wiring reorganized according to food-grade electrical standards.
Safety: Safety relay-based architecture implemented; emergency stop (E-Stop), door interlock, and optical safety sensors reconfigured.
Software: PLC logic and HMI interface updated; added auto/manual operation, alarm, maintenance, and speed-control menus.
Testing & Commissioning: Functional tests, motor drive configuration, and commissioning completed.
Data & Integration: Operation hours, alarm logs, and production counter data prepared for upper-level system/SCADA integration.
Project Summary:
Machine Type: Industrial meat cutting (bone saw) machine
Our Role: Electrical redesign, safety circuits, PLC/HMI software updates, testing and commissioning
Outputs: Food-grade compliant control infrastructure, traceable data structure, safe and stable operation
Key Outcomes:
Safety: Enhanced operator protection through safety relay and sensor architecture
Hygiene: Stainless-steel compatible panels and IP-rated cabling for sanitary environments
Efficiency: Consistent cutting quality via automated cycle and adjustable speed control
Traceability: Alarms, faults, and operation data prepared for SCADA integration
